ABSTRACT:
On March 25, 2019, renewable energy developer ENERTRAG, together with Enel Green Power Germany and EPC contractor Leclanché, commissioned the 22 MW Battery Energy Storage System in Cremzow, Brandenburg, Germany. This presentation focuses on experiences from project development and construction of a utility-scale storage solution as well as an analysis of multiple use scenarios.

Shaun Pick is a project leader for sector coupling projects at ENERTRAG, a renewable energy service provider active in northern Germany, France, and South Africa. After having worked for six years in law and finance, he pursued a masters degree in Environmental Technology at Imperial College London, where he specialized in Energy Policy. In following, he joined ENERTRAG, where he has implemented several energy storage projects including the 22 MW Cremzow BESS in Brandenburg, Germany.
