In order to achieve a successful energy system transformation, an integrated energy system based on renewable energies is required as a strategic link between the energy sectors. Sector coupling can strengthen green economies, especially in the mobility, heating, hydrogen and storage industries. In the future the North Sea – the heart of the German wind energy – will become Europe‘s renewable energy hub. The Heide region is developing projects and demonstrating technologies to establish such a coupled energy system.
Since 25 years Martin Eckhard is working at the interface between business, science and regions. He studied mechanical engineering and technical-economical environmental protection. After initial activities in design engineering and maintenance management, he was active for 13 years in innovation funding in all fields of technology with partners from science and industry. By a further change into economy Martin Eckhard was responsible for funding within the range of automation technology, before he changed 2016 to the EARH by developing the PtX-initiative ENTREE100. Today he gives support to all regional partners in all questions concerning funding, developes new projects and coordinates the project QUARREE100.
