Overview of Existing Norms and Standards for Stationary Storage and Rail Applications
In the past years new updated standards have emerged within the field of testing and certification of lithium-ion battery stationary storage systems and traction batteries for railway applications. This presentation will give an overview of the existing norms and standards, explain the details of required testing programme, and summarize the way towards the market launch of a safely tested and certified product.
Jürgen Böck is Technical Sales Manager at TÜV SÜD Battery Testing GmbH. After studying electrical engineering at the university of applied science in Augsburg, he joined Siemens AG as a Technical Sales Engineer. In the following years, he had the sales responsibility for various products and projects at Siemens AG. 2008 he joined SGS Germany GmbH, where he had several responsibilities for Battery Testing Services. In 2020 Jürgen joined SGS TÜV SÜD Battery Testing GmbH.
