Fueling up of a conventional car was quite easy. There was the nozzle of the station and the tank filling hole of the car in combination with the kind of petrol to choose. A charger has two interfaces. One is to the public energy supply system and the other one is to the electric vehicle. Therefore two different kind of requirements have to be fullfilled. This persentation will point out some of the requirements and the corresponding testing to help engineers to develop save and reliable chargers.
